------------------------------------------My Story-----------------------------------------------------------------

My name is Noah, and on May 18, 2011, I had a rare reaction to the medication VIVITROL, which led to severe suicidal depression, depersonalization, and anxiety. Within just four weeks, I lost 25 pounds and spent the next eight weeks in a constant state of panic, mixed with unbearable depression. I could no longer work and had to move in with my parents for 24/7 care due to being a danger to myself. After being hospitalized in a psychiatric ward, I underwent numerous treatments—SSRIs, SNRIs, mood stabilizers, anti-psychotics, holistic therapies, and even RTMS (shock therapy)—but experienced minimal improvement for over a year.

Eventually, blood tests revealed extremely low testosterone levels (200 ng/Dl and 150 ng/Dl), compared to the average of 750 ng/Dl for a 25-year-old male. This discovery explained why my symptoms persisted and resembled major depression. After starting testosterone replacement therapy, I slowly began to improve. Over the past six years, I’ve worked hard to regain mental stability, though the journey has included setbacks.

Today, I continue to document my experiences and insights on mental health, while focusing on physical fitness as a key part of my recovery. Weight training and cardio play a significant role in maintaining my mental well-being, which I also share on my channel.

That's what they call in psychology rationalization. It's also a defense mechanism, it's so bad that our mind can't handle it...

Lol sounds like me with pain killers, that's how I relapsed and ended up doing fentanyl for 2 years. Now I've got almost four years clean on January 28th. Thank god for my husband. He's never been an addict, but he drank a little excessively when he was younger. I went to him and told him I had relapsed. I fully expected him to leave me, but instead, he pulled all his vacation time from work and stayed by my side while I detoxed. Most amazing man I've ever known ❤
