I don't know why this is something that for some reason seems to come naturally to me. It's frankly society and ig false theology indirectly projected onto me by others that steered me away from this sometimes. It's God who brings me back to it. I really wish more people understood what you're saying in this video. I do believe many people don't understand this principle and it is a factor to at least several societal issues. It's not always easy, and I say it comes naturally to me but it's not automatic. I have to remind myself to do it and choose to do it. I just feel blessed to for whatever reason have just arrived at this so seemlessly and embraced it so easily and so fast. I wonder how to teach it to people in a way that would really stick with them.

This is the first anything of yours I've seen or heard (apparently, per some earlier comments, you sing, too).
This is brief but brilliant (or at least timely and well-put). I feel like, too often, "loving yourself" is equated with blind approval of... everything. Being a good friend to yourself is similar to being a good friend to someone else -- you accept him and stand by him, but you don't always stroke his ego or tell him what he wants to hear.
To "committing to your well-being," I'd add holding yourself accountable -- I want to know that I am doing right by the people I encounter and those who put their trust in me -- but maybe that's part of the same thing, if you take a wide enough view of it (and I guess you have to include yourself in the list of people to do right by).
Thanks for sharing this.
