Roadmap I followed to transition from NON-IT (Project Management) to Data Analytics and get a 100% Salary Hike!🔥🔥

There is a big myth that only people from technical/IT background can get into data analytics!

1) Start by learning MS EXCEL. It is the most basic yet important tool to know.

Course I did: Microsoft Excel Beginner to Advanced on Udemy

2) Skill up by learning MS PowerBI. PowerBI is very similar to excel and will help you create powerful dashboards and do data vizualisation

I teach PowerBI now! Check my 5 day PowerBI course in the bio

Or Course: PowerBI by Maven Analytics on Udemy

You can do Tableau too instead ( Maven Analytics has courses on Tableau as well)

3) Once I learnt PowerBI, I did some data visualisation projects.

Youtube channels : chandoo.org/, Alex the Analyst, Codebasics

Then, Go to kaggle for datasets, and theforage.com/ for virtual internships

Projects are very important for everyone! Way more that courses.

4) Once you are thorough with step 1-3, you can try learning SQL to further upskill yourself.

Courses: SQLZOO, W3Schools
Youtube: Alex the Analyst

Python is optional! Again do projects

Certification I did: GOOGLE DATA ANALYTICS

5) Then reach out to people on linkedin for any guidance and used the resume template in my bio!

6) Network with people in your domain. This way you will create connections and get referrals for jobs.

7) Look for domain specific roles such as HR/ Marketing/ Sales Analyst etc or non- IT Roles such as BI analyst/ Data viz specialist.
