This is a topical upload. Thank you for its ~reduction sauce you've presented in your observations.👍
I hear you. When it comes to range of motion and the number of muscle groups that are activated in the exercise, I fully hear you there. Range of motion keeps us feeling and acting young, too, nit to forget safer, IMO. Recently discovered my own liking the weight stack cable machine using a wrist strap around my wrist to do full torso, arm and shoulder engaging slow-mo punches and ~back-hand extension the air while not even using that much weight, relatively speaking, to realize some forgotten attributes. It harkens back and highlighted how I had forgotten how, when I was younger, I had a classmate who worked a summer before the rest of us boys began in high school / secondary school after which he came back bigger than any of us by what looked like a couple grades older/larger in physique and strength - looking more like the seniors/ upperclassmen - from loading and unloading large bags and bolstering all the muscle groups that became involved. So, I effectively started using the low and high pulleys and doing cabled upward and downward diagonal (X) movements with the wrist strap in my hand/around wrist as well as getting the entire torso while still activating triceps in extending movements and doing that for both arms. It's amazing how much I appreciate just the stabilization of having all of the torsos, shoulder and arm muscle groups being activated through those motions and it took me back to all the things I experienced working on my grandparents' farm and initially perplexed, wondering why it was I was getting attention from the girls when getting back into school the following year. Those movements do quite a lot for the V shape and trunk stabilization but make sure all muscles are flexed while you concentrate on not leveraging your spine against your spinal discs. That's not going to allow you to last very long in your quality of lif
