I've been guilty of this many times and I'm grateful for the reminder. However, I wonder when Christians today will finally draw the line? In the name of gentility we tolerate things that our spiritual and blood ancestors went to war over. As far as I can understand, it seems that there is a time and a place for both grace and the sword. Not that we are to use that sword to belittle people or be arrogant, but to keep the advances of evil at bay. Is it true to say we have to draw nearer to the Lord in order to know what he expects of us in the various situations we find ourselves in?
