I agree! I also think it is more difficult for Black women because many people think we shouldn't have high self esteem and confidence in our abilities.

When you do have the confidence, they hate that! It's always who does she think she is.. even with a quiet confidence. They will try to humble and make you feel less than. It can be a double edge sword, they will have a problem either way. So I show up as my genuine self. Cant please everyone.
