This is from my own dad and really I've never had such advice that rings true! This rang true for me for college, marriage, hitting goals, even as simple as packing up for a trip! 😊

My dad had double majors in marine biology and entomology, but there weren’t many jobs available for most of his adult life once he had gotten through college. When I was a teenager he got a job in maintenance at the local HS. I have never forgotten at the table one day he looked at me and told me to remember this. Double majors but he wasn’t too good to be cleaning toilets in a HS, so I should always remember that no job is beneath me or my skills. I’m never too “good” to do what needs to be done for me or my family.

I received this from my mom, who did not have an easy life. She would say that God wouldn't give you anything you couldn't handle. When I get overwhelmed, I stop and say that to myself. It gets me through.

Honestly, my wisdom is that you should be kind to others. I know it's very cliche, but very simple things like talking politely, not throwing a tantrum when I am mad giving way to a driver even if he is crossing/overtaking illegally, not choosing sides blindly etc. They really bring peace to me. Also I am a devout Muslim and Islam also teaches us to be kind to others.
Ngl, I am a bit disappointed in how humanity turned out. People being racist, sexist, waging war on others etc. At the end of the day, we are all humans. And human life is sacred. We blindly follow politicians who have divided us.
I hope we find Actual Peace one day.
