I have a Husky and live in the UK and knew exactly what I was getting in for, she is recall trained well and is walked between 2 - 3 hours a day and has a very forfullied life. Will definitely get Huskies in the future.

People not knowing about huskies and then "getting a dog (pure siberian from a breeder) for their kids" because its a pretty dog is literally how i got my siberian puppy. I did the research and love spending the time to interact with and train him. Most people can not handle these types of breeds!!! I love them, my big floofy goofball brings a lot of light in my life and helps keep my depression at bay by forcing me to be more active and making me laugh but i would NEVER suggest someone get one unless we have had multiple conversations and they are prepared to put in the work to have that wonderful floofy companion that this type of breed can be

Probelms with dogs, for me personally, are that natural looking canines are almost all active. And I do not take dog that doesn't look like, well, canine. Nose pushed in; nope. Loats and loats of free hanging skin; nope. Fur working as a floor mop; nope. Size of a palm; nope. Size of a horse; nope. Mouth working as watering device for flowers; nope.
There isn't really perfect dog for me, because either they look like unnatural and have loats of health problems coz that, or they re too active. Not only that, but it needs to have fur warm enough for winters (-25C, its what, -5F?, sometimes) I decided to go with rather active and otherwise good one than other problems combined stacked into 1 dog, coz that I can handle better than other issues

The first dog I ever wanted was a malamute (cause of the lost boys lol) but I know I'm not the right fit for one so I'll stick with my rottweiler/rhodesian ridgebacks:)

I got a malamute because they aren't crackheads like huskies. When we are inside, it is sleep time, he is a fantastic couch potato until we get outdoors.

Better have some energized bunnies in your family. They are extremely smart and curiois. And require a LOT of exercise. Every. Day. Without. Fail. 365 . . .
