Homicide # 37 & 38

On Saturday, February 8th, 2025, Demetri Padrat, age 21, from Thomas Trace, Arouca, was shot and killed close to his residence.

Around 11:30 p.m., residents heard several loud explosions and alerted the police, A team of officers responded and discovered Padrat's body laying close to Thomas Trace on the Priority Bus route.. On the scene, officers found ten spent 9mm shell casings.

A man shot dead in Santa Cruz

The shooting death of a 37-year-old Keil Johnson occurred in Santa Cruz on Sunday, February 9th, 2025.

A vehicle drove up to Johnson near the intersection of Lasageese Road and El Penco Street at around 4 p.m. There were loud explosions, and the vehicle sped off.

After hearing the gunshots, relatives rushed to the scene and called the police. Johnson was taken to the hospital right away since he was still exhibiting signs of life at the time. However, not long after arriving, he passed away from his wounds.

Investigations are ongoing.
