These sea lions are huge! Don’t get too close to them. If they feel threatened it’s not a good thing. The Orca seem to want to send their message world wide, they pissed at all we humans are doing to make their king salmon scarce and are even attacking and sinking vessels off the coast of Spain and Portugal. Now their harassing the marina in Seattle? Making all those noisy stinky pinnipeds bother all those wealthy boat owners? Heaven forfend!

At the marina you stayed at in Comox is the "put in" area for trailered boats. Two years ago three juvenile Orca's came in looking for a tasty harbour seal experience. They swam right into the put in area. I stood about 3 meters from them, a great experience.

Maybe the docks and boats are taking over "THEIR" homes. Maybe if someone hadn't piled up all those rocks over there they would have somewhere else to go. No sympathy for the rich boat owners.
