This was my first Need for Speed game, and I honestly don't recall it being this broken (besides the rubberbanding that makes the rival bounce into the given radius from the player then overtake and suddenly run at fixed 500 km/h, of course). The bonkers AI driving is something I can't remember having, and that mission that almost makes Kacey go FUCK THIS SHIT I'M OUT has never been special to me from a gameplay standpoint, just as a gasp-oh-no storyline event (yes, I was taking the storyline seriously, I was 9).
