A worn out ring will have a larger gap for yielding more blow-by. A new low tension ring will have the correct gap.

Not that simple dude explain to me how I can your rings on my standard piston the ring groove is to wide ,not to mention reduced ring tention = same as a normal worn-out ring

Will it work on a simple 4 cylinder turbo diesel?

Would it be easier for carbon etc to gum up the gap around the three sides of the ring given it is so tight?
