I have some visitors that when I call my dog off they tell me it's OK and let her jump all over them licking their bloody faces, she knows not to do it to me and doesn't do it outside, she's a young dog and she's small I've done so well with her, but this gives me the right hump, it's not the dogs fault either.

Its the bad dog owners that condone it under some sort of wierd just saying hi. So next time ill get my kid to jump on you with muddy hands and feets to say hi, no not acceptable 😅

My dog was perfectly trained but about a year ago we had one of his buddies stay with us for a while and he has completely stopped his obedience and he pulls really bad, can you make a video about how you would train in this scenario?

The problem is that a lot of owners WANT their dogs to jump up on them - just only times that the owner wants.
Is there a way to teach this behavior?

I’m trying to drill this into my 18 week old lab. Hard when even the vets you take him to just want to cuddle him and praise him when he gets over excited and jumps and licks them.

My dog somehow knows this by instinct, we never taught her to jump or not jump at people, but she somehow understands who is happy and okay with her jumping on them to greet them and who is not. She never jumps on any new people she meets, and rather gives them space to get accustomed, but if it's one of my friends who she knows for a very long time, she becomes bipedal😂
