This Tool Inventory System is just a prototype for tracking tools automatically. It is a low-cost, low-tech solution for inventory control.

If you've ever worked in a workshop or a job site, you know how important it is to have the right tools at your disposal. But with so many tools and people to keep track of, it can be a real challenge to manage your inventory effectively.

This is where a toolbox inventory control system comes in.

This toolbox inventory control system is a software program that uses low-cost hardware to keep track of the tools in your toolbox. It does not use barcode or RFID tag and UHF RFID scanner which can be costly to implement.

Each tool is assigned a location which is detected whenever it is checked in or out of the toolbox.

The system updates the inventory records in real-time, providing accurate and up-to-date information about the availability of each tool.

With a toolbox inventory control system, you can easily monitor your inventory.

This can help to prevent tool loss, reduce hoarding, and streamline the process of tool checkout.

So whether you're a contractor or a DIY enthusiast, a toolbox inventory control system can help you manage your inventory more effectively and keep your tools in the right hands.

This version is a Prove Of Concept prototype. Future version can include features to track the movement of the tools, and even identify who has each tool.

Thank you for watching!

Ah yes, thanks for the screen now we can clearly see what tools are missing & which ones are neatly stored in an open exposed storage box!

My shop needs this. Tech's are always taking tools and not putting them bak. Then we have to go look for them. As a flat rate tech it drives me up the wall when it's an hourly tech.

You could do a lot more with a system like this too like add a keycard lock to the inventory of tools that tells you who accessed it, and what tool they took out. It's a cool idea over all, you should try to sell the idea to an auto company, or something.

Hi Toy Tech Machine. Currently, I'm working on a similar internship project. Are those force sensors embedded underneath the tools? Is there an avenue where I can reach out to you?
