It's so interesting to hear all the different languages, especially Cornish and Ulster Scots, as I understand both of those are rare. I'll have to look into Doric as I haven't heard of it before.

Ok gonna say the Cornish one seems pointless if she doesn't actually know the language and just read it off a piece of paper! But the others are cool

It is so lovely to hear the original languages of Britain. Thank Jesus they are still being used today. It would be such a shame to lose them.

Is Doric really a language ? I've always known of it as a dialect ? Same as Ulster Scots.

This should be strictly languages from the British Isles.

Whether an oath or affirmation I wouldn't believe a word most politicians say.

Why do you want to swear your allegians to the crown? They are evil.

The real question is why parliament officials have to wear gloves to hand the Quran to a Muslim member. Oh, yes ! Because "unbelievers are the vilest of all creatures created" (sura 8.55)

That language is legalese. And they all speak it, therefore we should also understand what it is and how it is used x

There's no official language in the UK. The only territory with an official language is Wales with Welsh.

Not just British politicians, Claire Hanna the Irish MP for Belfast South and Mid Down made her feelings known about being forced affirm, as Gaeilge (in Irish), stating her allegiance was to the people of her constituency before she made the affirmation in English.

Britain is just a soup of foreign languages ... so quite fitting really. (It doesn't really have its own language or culture ... it's all from elsewhere.)
