As far as I'm aware, this is the first time we'll be able to legitimately get the shiny Galarian birds in ANY Pokemon game. So this is absolutely exciting to see a shiny locked Pokemon appear for the first time in Go of all games

Apparently they recently made it so that you canāt buy PokĆ©balls from the encounter if you run out. It seems like they did it on purpose to screw over those who donāt own any Masterball or even force people with a Masterball to use it

Do not waste your money on the masterball bc the galarian birds if they are shiny their flee rate will be at 0% which means they will not flee an niantic has confirmed it

Guys, itās confusing on what Niantic shares about this Event and wether the Birds will be guaranteed catch or not, etcā¦ but itās SIMPLE:
In this Event the Galarian Birds when encountering the Shiny form will NOT FLEE which is different from the Normal form where they Flee instantly. Itās the same as raids with shiny Legendaries.
They just say itās not a guaranteed catch because if you for some reason run out of PokĆ©/Great/Ultra Balls then youāll have to exit to get more Balls but they will be gone.
If you have enough balls to throw then you will get alot of chances to catch it, it will be hard just as Raid Bosses (Legendary normal, so not shiny).
Have enough balls? Then itās a guaranteed catch because you can keep throwing them until the Bird is catched.
If not and you run out of them, then youāll have to exit to get some more balls but it will likely be gone by then soooo (Not guaranteed in that way

I also hope that the shiny rate is 1 in 20. Also the good news is, if a galarian bird is shiny it cannot flee! The shinys will be released on October 4th

Also something to note, they will not flee, they aren't guaranteed catch but they will not flee
