I stopped going gun shows a long time ago, your right about the price. It seems as if every vendor thinks all their items are made of gold. Many vendors have an attitude, it's like "if not going to buy something, then don't waste my time or you can look at it but don't touch it unless you're going buy it." Before you go in to the show, watch the people leaving. If the majority of people coming out are empty handed then you know the prices are insane.

So true. It used to be you'd pay for admission to get into the show but that amount was small and would be more than made up for by the discounted prices inside. Vendors would barter and negotiate with you on many items. It used to be a way to save. Now, I can go to Cabellas and buy stuff for the same or less than the gun show. Also, it seems there are completely non-relevant vendors everywhere now. Why would I want to buy art, home products, or kitchen gadgets at a gun show?

100% agreed brother Mark. The last Gun Show I attended with my (Late..) Uncle was in 2.015. Every single seller had full MSRP+ prices and more. I remember there was a guy selling a recently introduced Kel Tec .22 WMR pistol, asking some $650 bucks!!.
On the other hand, a couple gunshop owners told me the Gunshow admins were charging absurdly high fees per table AND a lot of paperwork + restrictive rules, specially during/ after O'bummer administration. I truly miss those G. Shows until mid- 90's when you could easily negotiate, trade- in, etc.
Many thanks & Blessings to you and family for your dedicated work!!.

In many pro-2A states (including the video producer's own state of Missouri), there are items you can legally purchase that you're better off paying cash for at a gun show than buying online with a credit card. These items are usually only available at the much larger shows with hundreds of tables which attract volume sellers. I rarely see such items at shows in smaller cities, even when those cities are in very pro-2A states.

I’m down in springfield and this last show was honestly the best I’ve been to here in the past, probably 10+ years. Shows develop a cycle of everyone having the same over priced crap and this one had variety, like real variety, prices were fair, some great deals were floating around, tons of people, everyone was polite and great. Maybe come down and try a springfield show. I’ve always wanted to to do a KC show but after this maybe I won’t bother making the drive.
