I was recently in the book of Job and I was really struggling with God’s response to Job. But as I read and prayed the Holy Spirit was ministering to a weakness in my own faith. I had to start praying that God will give me the grace to completely surrender to the sovereignty of God. And that simply means my faith will not falter when I don’t understand or like what God is doing. He is God. That’s it. 🙏

Not only did God test Job for Job's benefit, but his story gave us the beautiful chapter of Job 38. One of my favorite passages in the entire Bible. If you haven't read it, i encourage you to do so because it puts a lot of things in perspective. God asks Job and his friends questions that only God would think to ask, let alone know the answers to. It is a wonderful picture of the glory of God and how He knitted our world together. ❤

Job is very special book to my family. While my grandfather was readingnitnto his ailing wife who wpuld go through waves of pain from her cancer. He asked her angrily "Why dont you curse your God?" For her to say, "God loves me so much he is allowing me to feel just a litte bit of the pain he felt on the cross dying for me" God knows our suffering and He suffered too. Our sufferings can draw us closer to the One who conqures Sin and Grave

YES!!!!!!! We praise Him for WHO HE IS, not only what He does for us. We do praise Him for what he does for us as in gives us mercy and love and care, but our main point of worship is for WHO He is. It took me years to realize this and it changed my life.

My father struggled with Job his whole life. It always seemed unfair to him. He was a man who worked hard and loved his family deeply, giving a LOT of himself for us.
A couple years ago I was doing a bit of study on Job and came to the same conclusion as Cliffe. If you understand the character of God you can see from the start that God is using the difficult times that Satan brings to accomplish a deeper faith in Job. Not to cruelly harm him or simply test him, but to bring Job a deeper understanding and closeness with God.
I praise the Lord that he brought me that understanding. About a week later, as my dad was lying in a very sudden deathbed, I was able to give him that revelation. To ease his passing and his soul's burden. It was so hard for me but I am so glad that the Lord gave me what Geoffrey Lancaster needed to hear,and it was so telling for his relationship with his sons and his God.
Praise the Lord, for He goes before you and prepares your way, even unto the final rest in His kingdom.
