Is staying in the military for 20 years to reach retirement worth it?

In the end, only you can really decide that. However, I have a lot of thoughts on this as I reflect back on two decades in the army. A lot of why I started Enlisted Money in the first place was because I wanted people to be able to serve on their terms and not feel financial pressure to stay in just for the money.
I want everybody to feel empowered to serve as long as they’re getting fulfillment from it and have the confidence to leave as soon as that’s no longer true.
So, what do you think makes staying in the military for 20 years worth it?
