while yes global warming is a thing, humans didn't make or start it, but we are making it worse for ourselves, the earth has a natural temperature cycle that spans millenniums it gets really cold to the point the whole world is artic and the heats up to a similar extreme (we don't have many fossils from that time just signs from rock formations and the fossils from the start of the ice age), we were in the middle part where things we kind of mild (comparatively) and now VEEERRY slowly we are moving towards that heating up phase, which we have absolutely no control over, the issue is the way cities are built and the types of things being put into the atmosphere are causing the heat to be less, "oh the suns going To burn me. but as long as i drink water and stay in the shade I'm fine" into "dang it feels like an oven even with the air conditioner on!" effectively we are trapping the heat that would be leaving our atmosphere, which is still a bad thing, but its not like where gonna die in a few years we doo need to work on it though, sorry for the rant but it aggravates me when people go "oh we made global warming now we gotta stop it!!" or "oh the companies are destroying the earth so we gotta destroy them!!!" no while the human race is incredible, we aren't at the level where we can make a whole ass planet heat up like this, its a natural process that while dangerous is manageable it just makes summer suck in the south
