how the back looks really depends on the design. i've had some backs looks really neat because the design is mainly a huge colour block with a border. but with stuff like you make with many spots and such it will deffo look messy. that's very normal with embroidery, don't worry about it. you're doing great!

The backs usually look funky, esp of you jump around a lot with your thread and get those long thread lines criss crossing, but one tip I wanted to give was to improve the 'look' of your project (and back by extension!) is to stitch your first and second stitchs in the same directions for the whole project. For example, choose a bottom corner for the first stitch and then do the opposite bottom corner for the stitch that goes over it, then keep that consistent across the project! Happy stitching!

For a beginner its fine but when you're doing multiple stictches in a row if you only do half of each stitch in the same direction like this ↗️↗️↗️↗️↗️ then when you come back to finish it you go the opposite direction like this ↖️↖️↖️↖️↖️ the back will have neat lines
For the stuff thats single all over the place its best to just do each individual stitch then move on
This should help you to get a neater back

The back always looks goofy! It's okay! I think it kinda looks cool when you look at the back of stitching projects.
