I believe Blitzø didn't break those hearts for just the fun of it, instead he didn't feel comfortable in maintaining a relationship and potentially getting to the next level woth being committed.
He too (and every person) has his own boundaries which should be acknowledged and respected.
Backing out of a relationship you're not comfortable with is treated like a horrible thing in this show. Instead it should be okay (even encouraged if the relationship is potentially abusive) since both parties have the right to say no or tell the other it's over may the reason be anything from being uncomfortable or not feeling the burning love for said significant other.
Imagine if you're being proposed to and you really don't want to get married just yet since you're not ready for this huge next step in your relationship that changes your life forever but you're going in anyways because using Verosika's lines "you'd hurt the other person's fee-fees". A relationship like that where one party always has to pretend only to make the other feel good will never work and will eventually get worse by the time.
