Hello and welcome back to the channel! In this video, we’re discussing the Microsoft Outlook outage that started on July 9, 2025, around 22:20 UTC. This issue lasted for more than 11 hours, disrupting services across Outlook.com, Hotmail, the Outlook desktop and mobile apps, and even Exchange email systems globally.

Thousands of users reported problems—mainly login failures and mailboxes not loading correctly. According to public outage trackers, more than 2,700 reports were logged at the peak, with over 60% of users unable to sign in and a large percentage facing server connection errors.

Microsoft quickly acknowledged the problem and began investigating a technical issue within their email authentication system. An initial update was released to fix the issue, but it caused unexpected results and required adjustments. A corrected fix was then developed and is now being rolled out worldwide, with Microsoft monitoring the recovery in different regions.

By mid-morning on July 10, many users began regaining access to their email services, and error reports started to drop. Microsoft also promised another official update later the same day, advising users to check the Microsoft 365 Service Health page for live status updates.
