China has around 350 million retired people and that figure is forecast to grow rapidly over the next 10 years which is a major problem as China's population is falling and its youth unemployment is rising. In this video I discuss the findings of a Report by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences that concluded that the Chinese Pension System will be Bankrupt by 2035 due to its ageing population, low retirement age and increasing life expectancy. In addition to the pension funding problem the Chinese Economy is experiencing a slowdown, falling demand, deflation and the property crisis is still ongoing.
