🍯 Honey is like liquid gold - it's highly nutritious and has antibacterial properties. In Ayurvedic medicine, honey is highly regarded. It's one of the things on our property that we have been trying to produce ourselves.

🐝 Starting wasn't easy, but we're slowly getting there. We started with one hive a couple of years ago and last year we caught a wild swarm. This year, we're expanding by splitting our two hives into four.

🌺 We love and care for our bees, planting thousands of trees and plants to supply our girls with a never-ending supply of pollen and nectar. In return, they give us yummy honey and a bigger, better production of fruits and berries. It's so joyful to see our happy bees (and other insects) buzzing around flowers.

🍵 I often use honey in teas. This time, I made tea with tulsi basil, lemon balm, and pineapple sage. These herbs balance the nervous system and promote sleep. Add the honey when it's not boiling hot, as according to Ayurveda, the heat kills the healing properties of honey.
