I think its important to note, that the sum given there isnt actually the expression for the zeta function when analytical continued to the complex plane. The actual function we're considering looks more like a really ugly integral. I believe Lars Alfhors complex analysis has the actual expression in it for the curious.

The function changes from a sum at zeta(2), zeta(3) etc to an alternating + - series at zeta(1 / 2 + x ί). This function cannot be understood without acknowledging that and unfortunately, as usual, the author here does not make that clear.

Zeta function has trivial roots at every negative even integers. Riemann hypothesis only states about nontrivial roots.
