That is where the "Imperial Stormtrooper aim" comments emanate from. They could not see the laser so they say dumb stuff. However the view from inside a stormtroopers helmet was never shown, so if they had a H.U.D., their aim may have also been correct.

You seem to know what you’re doing. I’m new to firearms, always shot on Sundays when I was a kid but that was years ago and I got my first handgun and I keep a flashlight in my edc bag that clips on to a headband real fast so I don’t see the reason for a light on my handgun. I shot with my buddies flashlight on his p365 XL at a range couple nights ago and the smoke completely made the flashlight useless. So what I’m wondering is why don’t people run Lasers on their hand gun instead of a flash light? Has nobody ever actually trained with the flashlight at night because when I tried it I hated it and was better off with my flashlight in my left hand pistol in right hand. My conclusion is I would rather have a laser on my hand gun. But I’m not a professional and I don’t know any professionals so idk what’s best
