I have always felt it intellectually dishonest for science to generally dismiss the idea of a being existing outside of time, space and not being made of matter as we know it, as a possible explanation for why our universe has all the signs of being constructed, while at the same time the theory that the universe is simulated seems to be gaining ever more popularity!
I guess some people prefer the idea of an artificial universe without a Creator to whom they are ultimately accountable.
