I dropped out when I was a sophomore at 16. Worked for a year then joined the army. I got my GED the following summer. Went to Germany and took a HS diploma course. I sent both my HS diploma and my GED to my board of education and received my HS diploma from where I grew up. I have all three framed together. (Two look like bank checks)

Ironic I see this the week before my oldest starts his senior year. Yeah...I'm going to say the same thing as sebastian's dad. I'll congratulate him, and we'll celebrate his first 18 years but we're not hoisting up the Stanley cup for him.

What I don’t understand is why the schools are doing preschool and kindergarten graduations🧑🎓 WTH?
My kids are grown adults now…my son didn’t go to college but, my daughter put herself through grad school and got her Master’s degree in occupational therapy 😊 I did cry tears of joy at her graduation ceremony 🧑

Man this was me at my daughter’s grade 8 graduation in June. Everyone was acting like these kids actually did something … the valedictorian said she wanted to be a tattoo artist. It was bullshit

Nah. My dad was a dyslexic refugee child of WWII from Italy and sent to America to a family who was paid by the Catholic Church to adopt and care for him and was kicked out by 14 for being “dumb”. He became a successful family man despite it all. At my 8th grade graduation I was the first award announced for art class. He jumped up and cheered so loud he almost fell over. He died a year later. Bless him.
