Another Nuptial Flight Day here in Ireland (30th July, '24), and I noticed some smallish, more orange queens returning from their day out. They might be Flavus, but I have only seen Flavus workers before, and they are very orange, and rather shy, so I'm not positive. What do you reckon? By the way, the one on the bottom, with the eggs, is a Lasius Niger queen. My first Lasius Niger queen (Queenie) now has four little workers! Obviously, it would be super exciting to have a Flavus colony as well, because they are hard to watch in the wild, being so keen on undergroundishness.
