I was gifted a bunch of old wood working tools, most of them planes, and I will slowly work through them to restore them to a useful state. This was the only smoothing plane and it lacked a blade as well as a handle. I had a handle made from birch and I forgde a new blade from steel from an old kick sled. It's an extra fun project since I got some use out of the hook knife I forged a while back and that I got to use my new file hardness tester set!

In the future I will put even more focus on making the blade flat.
