Had to live in a hotel for a few months while construction happened literally all day and night right across from where we lived, thankfully paid for by council. They had an “acessible” room where it wasn’t really acessible at all really, unable to reach curtains and they where behind the couch and high up, high cabinets, a cracked glass stove (dangerous af especially for blind ppl), a wet room that was roll in but became slippery when wet (like glass polished tile slippery), a window/balcony I couldn’t access and coat hangers I couldn’t reach. The toilet railing also broke when I used it because it was screwed in wrong, also the cleaners never came on time which is understandable but I had to be out of the room waiting to go back in which is tiring and stressful and my autism hates plans changing. Bellow the rooms was a bunch of food places which made it so easy to get food, even as someone who barely has spoons to do much out of bed anymore. Also the entire hotel was covered in light panels to make the outside glow, one broke while I was there and started strobing which was dangerous to me with photosensitive seizures that can potentially be fatal. They also had a pond with no safety railing outside and not much lighting so it was hard for me to stick to the path. Anyways the point to my rant is that I really hope people in charge see your videos and realise they should do better for everyone’s sake.

I have not long got back from a stay at a Premier Inn, and i have to say it was a really nice hotel. The only things that we found wrong with our room was the bathroom. They need to put a mat down on the floor as we had a walk-in shower with a step up and down to stop you from slipping and a hand rail on the side to help you down as the only thing to hold on to was the glass screen and the door handle. Other than that, we found the hotel to be disabled friendly for mine and my mums disabilities. But i think all rooms should come with hand rails in the bathroom as it can help anyone from disabled to the elderly.

Honestly, I think that premier Inn is fully being slept on in favour of bigger names where hotels are concerned, ive yet to stay in a marriott or hilton (both the actual name sakes & the budget branded places they have that aren't all that budget friendly like the AC & Double tree/hamptons) that doesn't absolutley disappoint me or ruin our stay.
But, touch wood I've never stayed in a Premier Inn & felt ripped off, lied to or even been unhappy with facilities & rooms & im a controlling clean freak who is hard to make happy when im aaay fron my own space!
We stay at the Bury premier Inn quite a lot it's a 20 min drive to the city centre in Manchester & has an amazing market & shopping choices over the road to the hotel, comes in clutch when we go to see a gig in Manchester & we don't wanna pay the inflated costs nearer the venue.
The rooms are so clean, tidy & inviting & for less than 100 a night, I recommend them to anyone & everyone.

Hi, the accessible rooms are far away from the lifts as they are by the emergency exits that have safe zones, call buttons and evac chairs in case of a fire, because the lifts automatically stop working when the alarm sounds. It’s a built in health and safety design
