These things work great, in walls with NO insulation! 🤣

One time, i used a flexbit to install a door switch for an alarm system. I drilled horizontally to the window nearby. Six months later, when they had guests over for Thanksgiving, the carpet was wet after they showered. When the plumber cut out the drywall to fix it, the alarm wire was going through the drain from upstairs.

Extended auger bits are very entertaining when placed in the hands of those who’ve never used them.

Drill in the center. Best piece of advice yet. 😂

OR, you could buy the little elbow tool that is on the shelf right next to it and direct it exactly!

I love how they didn't even try to pretend to get that angle correct coming out of the drywall

What are you going to use for a gag ball now?

Great idea! The struggle is real trying to keep the bit in the center of the 2x4. You're drilling blindly up the inside of a wall, through a hole in the wall, while trying to keep a flexible but stiff stiff steel rod from drilling at the wrong angle.

Вначале сверлит впритирку к стене, а с мячиком - уже посередине!))

Back in the day, That little yellow ball would have a smile on it, as it bounced around on the antenna professing to everybody to "Have a Nice Day"

Many commenters don’t understand what is being demonstrated, these bits are for post drywall installations, when a rewire or circuit add is required…
Usually the goal is to punch a hole to an area that is accessible, then a device is attend so that you may pull the wire back with the shaft…this demo is open on one side for visual purposes only…

I hired an electrician to install cam light in the kitchen for me. As he was drilling hole threw the floor joists his bit went up thru the second floor, thru the carpet, thru a sewing desk, then into a closet door before he realized he was off mark.

Wish he had this.
