Sorry, totally disagree on this one. On non-perishable household supplies, if I can get them on sale or in bulk, I believe that to be a smart purchase. This applies to perishable items if it can be preserved. Granted, I do have plenty of space to store everything. I budget specifically for these 1x/year purchases. Nothing is wasted.

My military experience taught me not to run out of TP. If I don't have 300 rolls in the house, I lose my cookies. I don't make a mistake by having it. I had it when the pandemic hit and the shortages hit. I was able to supply family and friends during the shortages. I never feel like non-perishables are wasted money. If I need the money, I know that I don't have to buy the stuff, helps with times my budget is a little stretched.

I researched this and it is 1 roll of toilet tissue per person per week. Men and boys might use less, also someone who stays home often might need more. But the general rule is 52 rolls per person per year. I actually keep 12-18 months worth on hand and save money as I buy it on clearance or on sale. I did the same with papertowels when I could get them for $.68/ roll. As someone else said if not using a credit card, if they are less than $.50/ roll, and you have space to store then Why Not buy it ?

Good thing paper products don’t expire so it’s money saved in todays market.
