That depends on your conditioning growing up... if you had a toxic/unhealthy/abusive relationship with a parent, than you will look for a partner with similar energy, or the type of relationship you would've wanted. You'll be driven to unconsciously fix, save, or change that person, in order to make sense of or "fix" the situation with that parent, through that partner...

Did this, and ended up going through some of what my mom went through. He possessed the positive traits my dad had but didn't realize the negative ones as well. Situation was pretty much identical. Thank God I left before it got worse. And guess who helped me through it? My mom. ♥️
