To be fair, sleeping does nothing besides kill specific mobs, stop them spawning on surface, getting items from your cat and skipping storms, it doesnt even really forward time, nothing smelts faster your hungers the same everythings in the same exact place tics dont go forward, anything automated is still in the same exact state you left it
