In winter, it’s not about moving quickly, it’s about stopping quicker. Winter tires should be mandatory in snowy climate.

I've always told winter tire skeptics that I'd rather have a Prius with winter tires than a pickup truck with A/T's in the winter.
That said, I do own a pickup truck, but I converted my Tundra to an AWD/4WD capable transfer case an run studded Nokian hakka's. Best of both worlds!

As someone who currently has a GTI on winter tires and a Volvo XC40 on all seasons and just had a nasty snowfall, I have to strongly disagree. It was possible to get around with the GTI, but it was easy and felt much safer in the Volvo. Same with our Mazda CX-5.

Toyota's AWD is significantly worse than Subaru. Subaru driving with a smile on Alaska winter snow road. At the same time, I replaced new winter tires on my Subaru Forester and my wife's Toyota Camry AWD, and the Subaru's are far superior.

I dont care what anybody says AWD with cheap all season tires is still better in snow than FWD or RWD with winter tires. I have had all types and currently have at least one of each type. I will take my impreza with all seasons over my mazda 3 or subaru BRZ with winter tires every time.

I’ve been telling friends and family this for years. Someone I know recently got a vehicle that came with winter tires and they texted me “this is what I’ve been missing!?” 😅
