I know the best stream settings for my stream, with my PC, and yet i always watch these - Always looking for some new magic encoder enhancement or some processing overhead that can be dumped to a separate machine but this video would have been handy when i started out.

Agreed, with one exception— Twitch's hard bitrate limit actually being 8k (not 6k as they suggest without clicking the box to bypass Twitch's defaults), makes for a pretty decent quality increase for Twitch specifically.

I did this and ran a test stream on private. Within minutes I got a studio “suggestion” of audio streams current bitrate (0) is lower than the recommended bitrate. Suggestion of setting to 128, and a “warning” of the streams current bitrate (8468.06) is lower than the recommended bit are. We recommend that you use a stream bitrate of 13500. 😢

I have a 1440p monitor. Should I set canvas size to 1440p and output 1080p or set canvas size to 1080p as well? I’m currently using the latter. (5900X, 4080).

1080p doesn't look too good at 6k or even 8k bitrate so that's why 720p, 864p or 936p at 8k looks so much better.
The reason why this is good advice is twitch added the option to make clips from vods and customize it for youtube shorts and they will look alot better because you are useing small sections on you screen.

For Me it always Set it like to 720p
Dispide having good Hardware and so on...
But i found Settings myself that works Great

What OBS thinks is best for itself might not be best for my game or the rest of my PC though. Cool that they introduced auto-config for newcomers, but I'm sticking to manual config until I switch setups.
