Meat-based diarrhea is far better than plant based diarrhea.

I eat plenty of fat on a regular basis, i eat plenty of meat, all sorts, all my cooking is done using pork lard, duck fat and butter, and I use some olive oil to drizzle on things. I've been eating like this for at least 20 years. I just had a gallbladder scan a couple of days ago and it's nice and clean

I was so concerned about my gallbladder starting this diet. I was eating meat and fat before carnivore but my digestion was bad and when I started eating even more fat I was having so many issues I started to wonder if my gallbladder was bad or if I had gallstones.

After almost a year on carnivore now when I eat fatty meat I notice that I can hear/feel my gallbladder pumping out the bile to take care of helping digest the fat. Just a slight gurgling sound that isn't coming from anywhere else. I like to hear it b/c it reminds me how this diet helps my body to work the way it's supposed to.

True. Lost my gullbladder while on a zero fat diet and drinking protein shakes. I was 18 and wanted to lose fat... now I'm 35 and I regret that every day.

To clarify: real fat from meat will pass, but vegetable fats are short-chain fatty acids that will pass directly into your bloodstream and harden into arterial cholesterol.

Wow, at age 21 I had multiple gallstones and consequently I had my gallbladder removed. Now multiple doctors I have asked don't know how the bile system works after having gallbladder removal. They don't know if it is constantly released from the liver due to having no container (Gallbladder), or if the Bile continues to be held in the liver and released when eating fatty foods. They also don't know if the amount of bile I produce is the same post op or weather the body regonises the lack of gallbladder and makes less bile. I have had stomach issues since and completely at random. These are the same Doctors who said living without a gallbladder is fine and urged me to remove it. Just my experience, I also trust Doctors but the lack of knowledge of how the body works without it completely stumped me

For anyone struggling to get enough fat in their diet, go to any grocery store with a butcher and ask for beef suet. It’s like $2/lb (I buy close to 10 lbs at a time, separate into 2 lb bags, and store in the freezer). Throw a handful in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes total. Flip and add salt halfway through. Strain and save the leftover rendered fat for cooking later. I learned about this from SteakAndButterGal. Absolutely delicious and completely game changing.

Hence, the ever increasing amount of gallbladder removals...people on chronically lowfat diets

And the lack of fat soluable vitamins and riboflavin, choline and taurine are what is leading to gallstones.

Veteran carnivore here. That is right. Excess fat is expelled. Excess sugar is saved.

Good answer Doc Chaffee. Love my saturated fat but if I over eat it my colon will rid itself quickly of said fats, quickly and with little control

I watch steak and butter gal also. And yes I do love to just eat the unsalted kerrygold butter 🧈 as a snack or dessert. It does taste better than most unsalted butters. Salted butter is easier to taste better. But the naturally occurring sodium levels in animal products is all ready more than I need daily. At first I did need high salt. Now my body is balanced and I don't.
