I have been watching many hours of Dashcam crash videos on Youtube and there is a huge amount of cars that continue into other cars, trees, lamp posts and similar that would not happen if the drivers would just hit the brakes after the initial crash.
This is a great system and will surely save lives.

This is good in theory. I have a Skoda yeti. VW underneath. When I first got it someone pulled out of a junction and I had to take severe avoidance. The car thought we had crashed and shut down the engine and pit on the hazards.... leaving me at full throttle going nowhere stuck on the wrong side of the road at the top of a blind crest on a 60mph road. I've never had a car that takes over from you and it took a couple of seconds to work out why I couldn't get to a safe position. Thankfully noone was coming the other way. I still feel the driver should be able to overrule the safety system and not the other way around. The machine doesn't know the exact circumstances of this particular incident. Humans adapt. Machines can't. Every incident is different.

The 2015 Golf has this, it winds the windows up and tightens the seatbelts if it senses an accident could occur, ESP hard braking etc, the Golf also has 3 rotary dials for A/C, knobs for volume and satnav so I can alter them on bumpy roads without having to take my eyes off the road, they should bring all of those back.

Wow, that's terrifying, but that's a cool feature
