Imagine the helplessness of being mostly blind (there are MANY people who need glasses to see) along with being so vulnerable to the elements and the dregs of society (including cops).

It’s not just the 70 million spent on street cleaning. When problems are not addressed,taxes must also cover emergency calls to police, fire dept, ambulance, social services etc… It would be cheaper to house them and help them find employment if they are able to work. If they need other supports, it should be provided. This situation is just prolonging this dysfunctional situation and it causes a lot of unnecessary suffering! God bless the homeless!❤

I met one homeless kid who was camping in the woods with friends, but he was more of a target because he was nice and couldn't talk or hear. He got beat up and had a black eye, swollen face, etc. He's the usual who has been screwed over by the systems starting in early childhood with the cash for kids system. He ended up moving back to some other city I guess for safety or something. Anybody who's been in ANY bad situation (even completely non-related to homelessness) will know there is no help. You have to save yourself if you're able.

They can cut corners all they want, but the problem is growing everyday. The cruelty extended to people without shelter never ceases to surprise me.
