Auto tech here at an independent shop, this makes alot of sense. That knowledge only comes with experience, we work on alot of euro cars and alot of calibrations, and things like oil resets will not run with doors or hood open

Would the program no tell you to close the hood before calibration? Most of the time, the program has conditions that need to be set. Like when doing a regen

😮 well dammit you learn something new every day. I did not know this no wonder my ECM light was always on when I checked that mass airflow sensor. I need to close the hood to see if it works. Thank you for the info. I feel dumb

Hey, you know deisel engines! Mechanic and dealership have failed me so I turn to YouTube🤦🏼♀️ I keep getting a "water in fuel, change filter" light. I've changed the filter. I put additives in the take to remove water. I've had the '21 rubicon eco deisel in either the shop or dealership 4 times now and no one can fix it. It's also not always on.
The light only turns on when the jeep is hot. Sometimes that means I can drive for 2 hours and other times only 20 min before it turns on. Next day I get in and it's off again and we repeat. Any ideas
