Toyota Motor Philippines rolls out the next-generation Tamaraw utility vehicle.

The core vehicle is a two-door pickup truck that can be reconfigured into three body styles—utility van, dropside, and aluminum van. Depending on the variant, it runs on gasoline or diesel.

The next-gen Tamaraw offers versatile conversion possibilities. It is manufactured at a state-of-the-art facility in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

The locally made Tamaraw vehicles will be using the conventional internal combustion engine. The engine, glass for the windows, and batteries are the only vehicle parts Toyota will be importing.  The rest of the parts will be sourced in the Philippines.

The grand launch is held simultaneously in major malls in Cebu City, Makati City, Pasay City, Quezon City, Santa Rosa City in Laguna, San Fernando City in Pampanga, Davao City, and Cagayan de Oro City.

In Cebu City, the grand launch is held at the Atrium of SM City.

The next gen Tamaraw will be available in the market in January 2025. The price varies according to its body style.
 
The Tamaraw Utility Van seats up to 14 passengers on bench seats and has a manual transmission.

The Tamaraw Dropside Hi seats two passengers and has an automatic transmission and airbags for driver and passenger.

The Tamaraw Aluminum Van is designed for larger cargoes. It has an aluminum interior and exterior.

The original Tamaraw, classified as a basic utility vehicle, was released in 1976. Then came the Tamaraw FX in 1991. It was the first seven-seater, airconditioned vehicle sold affordably. In 2005, Toyota Motor Philippines replaced the Tamaraw with the Innova.
