Is there a way to stabilize the can so that it doesn’t fall over?

I commented the same question but I am blown away the can held the weight. That's really surprising! Great video!

Works better if you cut the top out leaving the outer ring and make the hole in the side half as wide and half to 3/4 as tall. That way you don't have to worry about it collapsing under your pot. The way you did it makes a good candle holder and a small emergency heater.

Why do people open up the blade so much on those knives. You are cutting through a mm of metal, you dont need that much blade. An inch would do the job, it is safer, and you have more control, and are less likely to break it.

Melt a little wax in bottom and stick a candle in it and then hang from branch or sit on something stable makes a nice little lantern.

Boom you gotta think about it beforehand, set two stone's on either side, that ain't gonna hold no coffee cup full of water, you cut the hole to big, took all the girth that gave the can some strength!dm I do private bush craft classes in beautiful N.C.
