Instead of the writers having Cisco cure himself from his powers he could’ve just given himself a sort of makeshift turn off with the use of the dampening cuffs. If he wants to use his powers he turns the thing off and then back on when he doesn’t wanna have them on. Instead of like erasing his powers and then having to rely on a bunch of technology to replicate his powers.
