So I recorded this update before my last update (if that make sense) so if you're watching these in the order published... you will know that I am out of the car and back on the soggy roads! Feeling blessed to be making connections and getting some amazing community support for this journey of 1000km on Roller Skates for #dementiaawareness World Alzheimer's Month.

It was amazing to interview Dr Franka Meiland in Café ’t Tolhuis. Franka is an Assistant Professor of Aging and Later Life at Amsterdam UMC - and the cafe is an amazing historic place. It has been around since 1834 - the toll was collected here to enter the roads towards Baarn and Utrecht. In 1898, the barriers were removed again and not long after, this building was transformed into a café for the first time. Although little has changed in the building and the cozy and snug atmosphere within, we of course move with the times with our extensive range - the staff were incredible and support supportive.

Golnaz Atefi is undertaking an EPIC trip roller skating journey through through Europe - skating over 1000km. Raising dementia awarness, chatting to people living with the disease, researchers and advocates along the way to talk about my PhD research, and to hear their stories.
