Yes to this! My mom and I have very different tastes. If I show her a series of drawings or paintings I made and then point out my favourites of the bunch, she’ll point out her favourites and the things she likes about them. Often times what made the piece a "failure" to me is exactly what she likes best about them! Tastes are different, there will always be an audience for every piece of art who will appreciate it, you just have to find your people.
