I’ve done this to a couple of my downspouts and it works amazing! The peace of mind knowing you have an access point to that connection, it has helped me with neighbors surface water runoff as well

What is the outfall connected to? Is there a basin at the curb?? Or is it punched out at the curb. asphalt a cross the road looks weird ?

Wow. So the tree roots wrapped around the solid pipe and wye and crushed it? Or did the tree roots invade the wye through the connection points or not tile taped properly?

I prefer filling the bottom of the CB with concrete b/c those sumps never drain & the sediment in there can sometimes have a smell that will stain your skin with stink. 6 inch corrugated needs 1.8% slope to achieve a self cleaning 3fps flow rate. I love my SDR-35, it has never clogged, I'm using 0.5% slope.

How long before the roots screw it all up again? Two years? Three years?

Why wouldn’t you use PVC to avoid roots?
