once, a long time ago, 40 years ago, I played bass. I was supposed to play in a punk band. My fate took a different turn, stimulants - alcohol, drugs - made me stop playing. After these years of absence, I am clean and back in the game. I bought a Harley Benton bass a month ago and I've been listening to your lessons. A7, the A”7”. What’s the difference between playing an A or A7 when no chord or progression is followed? If only one note on the 5th fret of the E string played, that’s an A. Except if it’s an A7 chord or a song progression (like I7-IV7-V7).
Rephrased; are you following the A7th chord or the song progression? Or are you just playing A and calling it A7? If so, how?
