You should use both, it depends on what situation you're in.

Wide stance also makes it easier for your opponents to land front kicks and legs kicks

Just some "light" sparring

I prefer a mix of both. I like my legs narrow with my front foot forward for movement, and my hips square to my opponent for offense

Narrow for sharpshooting with your jab to setup the 1-2 then pivoting. Especially if you are the bigger longer fighter. Wide stance for fighting aggressive fights who rush in and you lack the space for jabs and straights. This stance gives you prime position to slip, change step, and pivot for hooks and uppercuts not to mention good for defensive phone booth fighting.

Neither is better. People may have a preference, but it will also depend on kicks and the kind of throws or takedowns you want to follow up with. Your fighting base should always shift as a fight progresses, and you flow from different distances. This is solid advice.

Hmmm. Noted. I'm an infighter so I usually stand bladed because i move my opponent in a way they dont get the reach to hit me good. Thank you for this upload, this will help me switch to moving back out into defense after throwing when I get the "Heads up!" tingle. Tips for using wider stance at medium and up-close?

There’s a reason wrestlers have such great walk down pressure.

“Bladed-Stance/ Angular-Stance Is The Overall More Effective Stance. You Are Perfectly Positioned To Fire Every Variation Of Shot Because Of The Angles In Your And To Defend EquallyAs Effective ESP If Your Technique Is Proper.

In mma, a wide stance can get you leg kicked which would cause you to lose balance being so wide.
I’d say use sparingly, tactically and such. Don’t just walk down an opponent wide without first understanding your opponents strengths and weaknesses.
